The taxi typically carries one passenger, who "rides pillion" behind the motorcycle operator. Multiple passengers are common in Nigeria. Lagos is a city in the Nigerian state of the same name. The city, with its adjoining conurbation, is the most populous in Nigeria and on the African continent.
