Switzerland. The Republic and Canton of Neuchâtel. La Chaux-de-Fonds. Sispol police station. "Narko" operation. The narcotics squad has arrested a muslim man (seated on chair) from Northern Africa in the railway station. The man was suspected of selling illegal substances (drugs). A group of police officers (some with blue uniforms, others in plainclothes) are questionning the moslem man about his identity and his whereabouts. The arab man will later be locked up. Plainclothes law enforcement is a method used by police. The policemen wear plainclothes or "ordinary clothes" instead of a uniform in order to avoid detection or identification as law enforcement agents. Police officers in plainclothes must identify themselves when using their police powers. A police station or station house is a building which serves for police officers. The building contains temporary holding cells and interview/interrogation rooms. 27.03.15 © 2015 Didier Ruef
