People and families live in tents, because they are IDP (Internaly Displaced people) from the war on a border dispute (1999 to 2001) between Eritrea and Ethiopia. A new school " Hade Libi Junior School" was buildt by a grant from the Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture from Basel in Switzerland.
