Switzerland. Canton Graubünden. Davos. 50th edition of the World Economic Forum (WEF). A Japanese businessman charges his mobile phone by an outdoor electrical outlet on the terrace of Migros Restaurant. The woman assistant checks her mails on her phone while covering her head with a scarf. Snow on the ground. Sunny day. The World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos is the foremost creative force for engaging the world's top leaders in collaborative activities to shape the global, regional and industry agendas at the beginning of each year. It brings together 3,000 participants from around the world, and aim to give concrete meaning to “stakeholder capitalism”, assist governments and international institutions in tracking progress towards the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals, and facilitate discussions on technology and trade governance. Migros is Switzerland's largest retail company, its largest supermarket chain and largest employer. It is also one of the forty largest retailers in the world. It is structured in the form of a cooperative society (the Federation of Migros Cooperatives). 22.01.2020 © 2020 Didier Ruef
