007-Switzerland-Geneva-Fallout Shelter-Bunker-Poverty-Homeless-People-Food-Breakfast-2014.jpg
Switzerland. Geneva. Sophie (center) is a black african woman from Ivory Coast and a worker serving breakfast to african and european homeless people and to gypsies from Romania. The men and women have all spent the night in the fallout shelter Richemont. The bunker was constructed as civil defense measures during the Cold War and is a unit of the Civil Protection. Switzerland is unique in having enough nuclear fallout shelters to accommodate its entire population. Romani are widely known by the exonym Gypsies (or Gipsies) and also as Romany, Romanies, Romanis, Roma or Roms. 08.02.14 © 2014 Didier Ruef
