Switzerland. Canton Graubünden. Val Roseg. A group of young veals graze and rest in the shade under the trees in the forest. Veal is the meat of calves, in contrast to the beef from older cattle. Veal can be produced from a calf of either sex and any breed; however, most veal comes from young males of dairy breeds which are not used for breeding. The Val Roseg is a valley of the Swiss Alps, located on the north side of the Bernina Range in the canton of Graubünden (Engadin). The valley is drained by the Ova da Roseg, a tributary of the Flaz (Inn basin), at Pontresina. 20.06.2020 © 2020 Didier Ruef
